Matt’s real-world experience
I’ve used my Elite shears for years while filming FSE education, cutting clients and doing extensive mannequin work—including cutting through coarse mannequin hair. They still haven’t needed sharpening.
This is my personal experience, not a fixed sharpening interval. Edge life varies with cutting volume, technique, maintenance and the hair or materials being cut.

Love these shears.! Love that they’re small for precision and glide through the hair like a hot knife through butter when slide cutting.!

I'm very pleased with the way the shears feel in my hand, the precision glide, and cut. I also love the oil/brush applicator. I definitely recommend. These shears would a welcome addition to every hair stylist tool box!!
I was extremely pleased with my new shears! They were packaged with great care (and accessories). The shears look amazing and have beautiful craftsmanship with thought towards ergonomics (stylishly so), and a wonderful feel and weight to them while sitting comfortably in my hand, like an extension of me, waiting for my creativity. Bravo!
They are nice and sharp a little heavy would like them to be a little lighter and a thinner tip

Very nice to cut with, they feel nice and balanced in my hand, not too heavy in my hand, beautiful cut. The only thing that would be nice is finger grips as the thumb is quite large.
BEST SCISSOR I EVER OWNED ( black 6.0”) I do not write many reviews but this steel of a deal! Needed one. My name is Noah from New York and I am a licensed cosmetologist for over 22 yrs, former american crew educator and current own my own shop where i specialize in mens hair cutting. Ive been following matt and FSE for over a decade as i believe i can relate to FSE knowledge ofn great products and information. Like matt (db20 ) used mizutani ( wood sword etc etc etc) ) for almost my whole career. They truly are amazing and loved them. Being said once i saw FSE create their own i had to try and did. BEST purchase for the money i think i ever spent on any tool in my career. The sleek murdered out black 6.0 is as good looking and cool as a scissor can look. The feel in hand is like an extension of my hand, super light and well made. Next is the ergo thumb hole. So comfortable and great to get in behind ears when cutting close the neck area , it really allows limitless movement while feeling comfortable. Nice slim blade is great as well and lastly the cutting feel is so smooth and sharp . As good as any “luxury scissor” i have if not better. Well done matt and FSE. I look forward to using them every single day and don't think i have picked up any other scissor in over a month . For the price this scissor can not be beat . I urge you See for yourself as i can guarantee you will be more than happy with your purchase and well made scissors.
