Matt’s real-world experience
I’ve used my Elite shears for years while filming FSE education, cutting clients and doing extensive mannequin work—including cutting through coarse mannequin hair. They still haven’t needed sharpening.
This is my personal experience, not a fixed sharpening interval. Edge life varies with cutting volume, technique, maintenance and the hair or materials being cut.

Cuts smoothly. They do push hair just a bit, but great for the price. You just have to get used to using them.
