Ulta Beauty World 2026 is still set to move forward this week after an early morning fire broke out inside the Orang County Convention Center—a reminder that even the biggest beauty events aren’t immune to unexpected moments behind the scenes.

What Happened

According to local officials, the fire started around 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday in a single booth located in the West Concourse, where the event has been set up. Fire crews responded quickly, but the venue’s built-in sprinkler system played a major role in containing the situation before it could spread.

The fire was limited to one booth, though officials are still assessing whether any surrounding exhibits sustained damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Event Status: Moving Forward

Despite the incident, Ulta Beauty World 2026 is still scheduled to take place as planned on Thursday.

That’s a big deal considering the scale and demand for this event:

  • Over 200 beauty brands expected

  • Expert-led panels and education sessions

  • Exclusive product drops and swag

  • Tickets that sold out within minutes

Thousands of attendees are still expected to show up in Orlando, and all other events at the convention center remain unaffected.

Why This Matters for the Industry

Moments like this highlight something we don’t always think about in the beauty world—how much goes into producing large-scale events like this. From booth builds and electrical setups to logistics and safety systems, there’s a massive operation happening behind the scenes.

And in this case, those systems worked.

The quick containment speaks to the importance of venue safety protocols, especially for events filled with product displays, tools, lighting setups, and high foot traffic.

The Bigger Picture

If anything, this situation reinforces the resilience of the beauty industry. Even with an unexpected disruption, the show goes on—literally.

For brands, artists, and educators attending, the focus now shifts back to what these events are really about: connection, inspiration, and pushing the industry forward.

We’ll be keeping an eye on updates as more details come out—but for now, Orlando is still the place to be this week.

This year is sold out but check out the video from last years event!
